Mission Control Live: NASA Lands Perseverance Mars Rover (360 video)

Publisert 21. feb.. 2021
Watch an epic journey unfold on Thursday, Feb. 18 as our Perseverance rover lands on Mars. Watch here for a 360-degree engineer's-eye-view from inside Mission Control at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, with picture-in-picture commentary.
To reach the surface of the Red Planet, the rover has to survive the harrowing final phase known as Entry, Descent, and Landing.

Only then can the rover - the biggest, heaviest, cleanest, and most sophisticated six-wheeled robot ever launched into space - search Jezero Crater for signs of ancient life and collect samples that will eventually be returned to Earth.

  • I can’t believe people believe this is real! CGI is good though 😝.

  • 😂 can’t even get a good mobile phone connection in some areas and they claim to send rovers millions of miles and communicate /control them remotely? Suuure they do 😝.

    • is a ship and beings. Its stuff all over these ufos that can identify itself of origin

  • it was a beautiful day, can't wait for more from perseverance

  • Arbor metals corp :)

    • I dont see it. I see an ancient collapsed temple. If it is a ship it's a blown up ship with engine parts broke in pieces. This look like whatever it is ir was it's been in an explosion

  • *#Nice** atmosphere for a parachute.*

  • Funny how the free masons are up to their games right after they steal the U.S. Presidential election. NASA is B.S.'n why didn't they try this when President Trump was "President"? This is a BUNCH OF SH*T. I don't believe it, just like Stanley Kubrick filmed the moon landing, THEY ARE LYING AGAIN!

  • Biggest scam since lockdown!! 🤭🤫

  • Scott Johnson First astronaut to walk on the Sun, nobody believed him even though his boots where smokin....

  • Wake up, America. They're robbing you blind with this BS.

  • I dont see it. I see an ancient collapsed temple. If it is a ship it's a blown up ship with engine parts broke in pieces. This look like whatever it is ir was it's been in an explosion. I see a temple becus I see the panther face figure with a crown on it or some kind of emblem on its forehead like in the inka temples. She need to see more than just everything is a ship and beings. Its stuff all over these ufos that can identify itself of origin

  • So dumb...

  • Omg 😍

  • Pure BS

  • No one can leave the Geocentric Earth system. The Earth is designed by a very smart creator. Its a shame how this religion is brainwashing our kids.

  • Your living room looks so clean! 😊

  • FAKE A F !!!!

  • 1:46:20

  • So you guys are enjoying just fly arround and waste billions for just experiments right? Why not try now use STARGATE and go to other galaxies, we all know STARGATE's location and when it will be open . What are you waithing for? Waithing Chinese and Rusians will do that ? Maybe they allready doing it like they do with SUPERSOLDIER programs with gene manipalations. Don't forget WAR is comming and this might will be your LAST EXPERIMENT.

  • WOOOO LETS GO GOOD JOB

  • Amazing work like this is what makes being human wonderful. Thank you everyone.

  • Ahem NASA - you can see employees entering passwords here ...

  • These Mars landings will be talked about for centuries. :)

    • That's what theyre FIGHTING over or fighting at? FOR RULERSHIP AND CONTROL?

  • Amazing 360 Vid! if anyone wants to check out our Mars 4K trip across the surface check us out!

  • History has been made , well done !

  • That man's playing Galaga !

  • Que pais ridiculo aquela merda dos estados unidos acha mesmo que os brasileiros vao acreditar que isso e verdade

  • Wow I looked around and yall got nice fixtures.

  • This is JPL right?? Well way back when I saw a fireball and nasa houston hooked me up to you guys, and 4 days later you found it in India. I just cant find any record of it since. I look on the internet and type in everything I can think of and cant find any record. Also about 5 maybe years ago I watched a big lumpy( looked made of bumpy smaller rocks) but glowin like green kryptonite inside. Barely had a glow smoke trail and it did finally shatter just as it passed my horizion trees in the way but it sounded like a bunch of firecrackers goin off in the distance. Someone else had it on their dogwalk video on facebook but they were more underneath it in their video and It came out my NW goin south it was further to my west and lower than their video. Funny thing is when they posted it bunch of people were doggin him claimin it was photoshop but it was the lumpy kryptonie I saw. Imagine a football shape but the skin is bumpy round rocks . it wasnt spinning. Another thing I noted is apparently down south where it scattered?some sealife tradgedy happened shortly later too. Me I noted that. I cant helpit im cursed sagi attributes.

  • CONGRATULATIONS NASA NASA ROVER'S LANDED ON MARS SAFELY PRESERVANCE SETTLES IN The newest Martian, a robot named Preservance, is alive and well after its first day and night on the red planet Nasa's scientists were exhilarated as they shared pictures captured by its cameras during landing and after the rover reached the surface. Mars rover Perseverance is ready to begin seeking the signs of past life. Perseverance is highly advanced technically and will work for long time. DR.MOHAMMAD LAEEQUE NADVI Ph.D. (Arabic Lit.) • Congratulations NASA team and to all humanssss!

  • we're going to mars but can't stop the famine in yemen?

  • Nice consoles, Go Evans!

  • nice, but china already landed :D few days ago and have normal camera on it not analog one

  • Well done NASA and thanks for the invite into the room. With so many Techies there, would be great to know who is responsible for each part of the mission and what they are doing or monitoring during the broadcast. Any chance of Tags per seat. If only Apollo 11 Mission Control had this viewing platform way back then.

  • OK, so *when will be able to have technology that nation wide cuts in half the repair time for a burst frozen pipe? Instead of only providing consumers / 'citizens' tiny screens to hate on each other with, when do we get actual "technology" to improve how we live in our every day lives?*

  • Absolutely incredible to be alive to see this.

  • gg

  • I believe that the first man/woman on Mars is alive today... Think about it, its incredible.

  • Here

  • Nasa Pulled a "Simone Biles" And Stuck the landing!

  • it was a beautiful day, can't wait for more from perseverance

  • The people die in the earth.

  • how much is the delaay between earth and mars? Wie lange braucht eine nahricht von der erde bis zum mars?

    • I’m pretty sure it was about 11 minutes at the time that this event took place.

  • What a team! Congratulations to everybody.

  • اكو عرب 🤔🤔

  • Watching nerds behind a desk and in front of a computer in panoramic views is not what we want to see. Put the planet Mars in panoramic views to give the tax paying people their money's worth. Nothing worst than egotistical needs trying to impress with Hope's of getting the women to like them. JEEZ!

    • We can’t get proper pictures and videos of Mars until about a week from now. If don’t see how they would do it in a few seconds

  • Good job NASA

  • Touchdown confirmed. Very good job! :)

  • I- i'm just here because i saw a reddit post of someone with the ''this is fine'' dog plushie

  • Magnificent achievement! All the planning, engineering and science over the years that's gone into this mission. Then to hear the magic word, touchdown! Superb, NASA, superb!

  • Lol, I was sent here by my teacher. I mean, I ain't complaining! Historical moment to watch truly...

  • Great! My hope is to watch nice and interesting images and, later, important science discoveries. Bravi! from Italy

  • (explore our talents) to master a solar system as identity (life as center of the universe)

  • So great achivement! Hats off and my enthusiastic congratulations to NASA scientists, engineers and all creators this missioon

  • It blows one's mind when you realise that during the live event, we were looking at what had really happened about 3-4 minutes ago! Light / EM waves have a finite speed and Mars is 3-4 light minutes away from us

    • @Doug Robinson thanks for the correction. Nevertheless, it is surreal to witness 'history' in a live broadcast where 'future' is getting made :-)

    • Actually, it generally takes about 5 to 20 minutes for a radio signal to travel the distance between Mars and Earth, depending on planet positions.

  • Какие Вы молодцы!!!

  • brilliant well done Nasa

  • We Salute You One and All.

  • #MARS2020 It's a great and interesting Time for all in the world, and it's so good to see the reactions

  • Congratulations to all of you i'm inspired and gratefull

  • Pakujmo se za jezero ahahahohohooooojjjjjj

  • This is the most awesome experience I have ever had. This is a historical moment.

  • അടിപൊളി ❤️

  • This was absolutely amazing to watch, history was just made! 1 question though: Why is this now unlisted?

  • congrats NASA

  • i love mars i want to be an astronaut in future

  • Awesome

  • I noticed a lack of diversity.

  • I'm surprised to see so few people in the control room, imagining the room full, with that euphoria of the employees, as it happened in the 60s, on the occasion of the great aerospace achievements. It seems that computers have simplified not only human tasks, but also their expressions of emotion. Our tribute now tends to be lonely, dedicated to everyone who participated in the success of this scientific landmark, the witch will find a biological fossil this time, but also to the brilliant minds who are no longer with us. Congratulations to NASA today and always

  • Excelente amigos, infinitas felicitaciones para todos, son el orgullo de la humanidad! Han logrado demostrar que las puertas son tan infinitas como el alcance de la mente y que las fronteras sencillamente no existen!

  • Cool. Good job all who helped make it happen. One step closer to a Mars landing with Earthlings.

  • NASA tebrikler

  • Move over NASA, SpaceX will take over from here.

  • Yeah!!!!!!! Great!!!
