  • If I told someone I was going to Chongquin they would probably think I was being racist.

  • Lahasa? These are scripted, right? Why don't y'all look up how words are pronounced before making them?

  • China get out of Tibet or pay the price for your sins

  • Bob Seger considered changing the lyrics of his song to "I don't think I'm goin' to Kathmandu"

  • I am watching this video in minutes mystery channel in tamil

  • Awww you implied Tibet was Chinese territory. That's sad.

  • Great video!

  • Decent doco thanks, but the pronunciation was really quite strange. Saying plateau with exactly the same inflection over and over again made me feel the writer and narrator weren’t really working together, or listening to how strange is sounded

  • Tibet should independent country.. Free Tibet, Free Hong Kong .

  • It would be better if no one at all lived in the roof of the world. Because that's a strategic source of fresh water for billions in Asia.

  • WHY DONT MEXICANS EAT TARTAR SAUCE?? CUZ THEY BE EXITICANS

  • Mountains are only one reason. The main reason is because CCP doesn't want people seeing them torturing Tibetans and what's really going on there.

  • I think after 5 or 6 crashes, you just call it quits.

  • Γτπ

  • its LASA ( not LA HASA)

  • Some facts here are misstated or incorrect it seems. Modern planes can regularly fly in -56 degrees Celsius temperatures when at 30,000 feet. The typical temperature at 30,000 feet is usually about -45 degrees Celsius. By your indicated temperature logic northern Russia, Canada, and Alaska would all also be virtually unreachable for the majority of the year. As opposed to the current situation where air travel is available all year long excepting in extreme weather conditions. Turbulence, the high altitude, and other elements are fine reasons. But the temperature restriction is just wrong.

  • I thought they avoided Tibet so they wouldn't disturb the monks

  • Tibet forcibly grabbed by china

  • the Tibetan Plateau is the real map of Tibet... not the one that was bitten... families from those bitten parts are in India...

  • La-Ha-Sa?

  • In 1999 I took a flight from Munich to Hong Kong and we did fly over the Himalayas but I can assure you that it was the most bumpy ride I ever had in my entire life and up to this day! The violent turbulence lasted for hours. It felt like the plane would disintegrate at high altitude and mind you, it was night time, we could not even see anything outside. One of most scary experience ever.

  • I was waiting for him to say there's dragons on the roof of the plateau that love to eat airplanes

  • So all that for Mountains

  • FREE TIBET

  • Only fighter jets fly over Ladakh and Tibetan plateau

  • EE

  • He said men not humans

  • Or maybe it's their concentration camp.

  • China doesnt want you to see the camps were the oeigurs live

  • But what about bermuda triangle?

  • Fnfjjdjdjfdj

  • Because they don't have airport

  • remember first indiana jones movie?

  • "Celcius". This cannot be unseen. :P

  • That's where the dragon is 🐲🐲

  • I’m so stupid I thought the map was of the us for a second and I thought the gap was above Texas

  • Did you know why airplanes don't fly over Delaware? It's called the supernatural curse of forgetfulness. Symptoms have tragically hit pilots with many of them radioing to the tower sayin' "you know the thing" when trying to describe something. Researchers found that all instances of this phenomenon to happen a little after crossing over Delaware. It's often known as the "bluebidencurse". 😃

  • What is the background song?

  • I have been to both Katmandu and Lhasa airports while hiking in the Himalayas. Until you have actually been there, you will not truly understand the scope of this area. I have traveled all over the world and there is nothing that compares to this area. I loved it and the people are wonderful.

  • Mount kailash were extremely

  • -40°Celsius is -40°Fahrenheit I love that fact.

    • and fahrenheit temperatures get smaller than celsius temperatures for the first time once u get below -40.

    • That makes life suddenly much easier

  • Unnecessarily stretched video. Repeating same info over and over again.

  • Movie of Captain China is fly over Tibet

  • Lhasa is pronounced like “La-sa,” the H is silent

  • 4:08 - looks more like they are trying to avoid flying directly over china more than that specific region alone

  • lemme guest...Himalaya?

  • Mountains.. You've heard of the himalayas right? Yep thats it.. Mountain

  • Can confirm, flew over the Himalayas in Infinite Flight (man it was bumpy)

  • The Tibetan Plateau is the *REAL* Bermuda Triangle😂😂💀

  • I like how China has just claimed Tibet and ppl go along wt it. Tibetan autonomous zone lmao

  • what is it the name is this song?

  • Also, a lot of the local people there believe that their gods live atop the mountains.

  • Tibet isn’t a country

  • This is so.amazing

  • Me who didn't even know where Tibet was: *wot*

    • I tie the bet the reason folks do this concernin' Tibet is 'cause folks didn't study the region much. 🙂😀

  • Short answer: there are mountains

  • Without watching the video (yet) I would hazard a guess at the inconvenient fact that some of those clouds over Tibet are going to be stuffed with very big rocks which get quite a way up. That nice fluffy cloud you think you're safely flying through is going to have mountaineers in it who will very briefly hear the roar of jet engines getting closer and then have a terminal "What the FU...." moment.

  • Not to mention, airport runways would probably have to be significantly longer due to a higher density altitude.

  • Advance jets and passanger planes heat fuel so it wont freze

  • Unwatchable. Dude, figure out how to pronounce things BEFORE you make the video. Every time I heard Lhasa pronounced La-Hasa, I felt my ears start to bleed.

  • Really like your videos!

  • Theres an ad that copied ur thumbnail

  • Its simple cause china has illegally occupied it and it doesn't want anyone to see whats going on in that place even from a plane.😜

  • A new Why Planes Don't Fly has been released this video is now obsolete.

  • Some text-to-speech channel stole the video title and thumbnail.

  • I could imagine a smuggler with one of those aircraft that can take off vertically like a helicopter but fly like an airplane. He would need extra oxygen Incase of depressurization, a heated fuel tank, and a very steady hand to make such a dangerous flight.

  • Muslims will say because it's house of allah.

  • No planes on Tibet and surrounding? Such a joke. There is Lhasa Airport on tibet, and surrounding province Qinghai has Qinghai Airport.

  • 👌🏻 ok

  • Uhhh so why exactly are people complaining about the length of the video? Like isn't this about to inform? You can't just say oh hey it's because of mountains! And not explain it. That's like teacher showing their students the answer without even explaining.

  • Mongolia: Ha Cute

  • BeCaUsE oF mOuNtAiNs, give him a break man he is so good at explaining this stuff anyway

  • No chem trails there.

  • Wasteland ? Really?

  • lel

  • I love how he pronounces Lhasa as L-HA-SA. The second H is mostly silent and should be pronounced Lasa or something like that

  • The Dali Lama has a slingshot and will shot at you.

  • -40... I remember my -45 suitable washer fluid freezing on my screen driving to work... Canada problems 😆

  • wastelands??? Antarctica isn't a wasteland

  • Perfect excuse for CCP to control the human rights in Tibet👌

  • The one-L Lama, he's a priest. The two-L llama, he's a beast. But I would bet my silk pajama there isn't any three-L lllama. (Ogden Nash)

  • “This video is brought to you by common sense”

  • Why is there no ads?

  • Hey bro dont speak bad about my home country This is the most beautiful country in the world An also I don't like to say but want to say that we have lots of people back before China came 1959 An they killed lots of man , woman an childrens , An also in family we r not allowed to have kid more the 2 , Okey?? • Je baat

  • hehehe 13%

  • Eh The terrain is too high I don’t wanna crash to a mountain 🏔

  • i’m guessing rn that it’s because the irregular wind conditions

  • High elevation and sparse airports. Saved you some time.

  • I PAID FOR THIS TICKET AND IM GONNA USE THE TICKET

  • Now explain to a flat earther why planes don't fly over Antarctica

  • Wait, planes are in the sky at all times right now. *forgets about Covid 19*

  • Why Planes Don't Fly Over Tibet? Becouse Earth is flat :DDDD

  • Celcius.

  • -40 celcius😂 I live in Manitoba Canada, that’s a common occurrence here, that’s insane we aren’t even the most northern part of Canada, this place is so hostile that nobody even knows Manitoba people exist😂 love this place

  • I'm gonna say mountains but I guess there is going to be more to it - we'll see.

  • The real reason : the mountains are naughty and will try to grab others planes and will turn it into communist planes
