  • 7:04 nope. so much nope. Imma shower twice a day everyday till the day I die sir 😆😆. You can pry my hot showers from my cold, dead hands 🙂

  • 10:10. Just because a blender has made things into a liquid doesnt mean things have been removed. Its still there, just a bit soggier. Not hard.

  • You promote good habits and health, BuT your eye lids are bright red! Do you give yourself enough rest as well.?

  • “I do that with Bear” *licks dog* “Not that”

  • The thing on the head that doctors use to war is A head mirror is a simple diagnostic device, stereotypically worn by physicians, but less so in recent decades as they have become somewhat obsolete. A head mirror is mostly used for examination of the ear, nose & throat.

  • Over the last few weeks, I've been so stressed out that my body would spike a 99-101⁰F fever for a couple hours. Stress is no joke.

  • I can't decide if people are more scared of these vaccines or that "deadly" pandemic?

  • Am I the only one who already knew that there was no scientific or statistical evidence that suggests cracking knuckles and arthritis have any correlation? It's probably best when told anything to do some research of your own (aka, be a normal human being and google what you don't understand) before deciding whether to believe it or not unless the person telling you has education in that area.

  • 9:35 is what happened to me when I was... 17, I believe? There was a basketball hoop installed at the yard, but it was waaaay too high up. Like, above ten feet. Closer to twelve. So, I did what any smart youngster would. Climbed onto the nearby fence and jumped for the hoop from there. Hands slipped, fell directly onto my back on hard asphalt. Still amazed I only got wind knocked out of me, rather than anything actually breaking. Guess I got super lucky that there were no rocks underneath and I managed to hold my head up, like my chin to my chest, so I didn't end up smashing my head to the ground upon impact.

  • Yes, you are an awesome young women! I am appalled at the story you tell about what that educator said to you and you mom! You rock, and are totally funny. Love you!

  • I mean, vaccines do cause autism. Because those who aren't don't make it past their 3rd bday

  • 3-4 minutes? How do you reconcile your life choices and fleeting existence in that amount of time?

  • @doctermike the metal disc on Patricks head is called a head mirror. If you search on youtube "Head Mirror vs. Head Lamp", 2 physicians explain the medical use.

  • hey, I love your videos and I have a question for if you do another answering your questions video. I have all A's in all my classes because I'm able to remember stuff during tests but when it comes to foreign language classes I fail every test because I can never remember.

  • The first commenter has to be a troll, it just hits too many of the marks of a overly sensitive fat acceptance whale. They cry about his comments on fasting, gastric bypass surgery, then complain about the, watching what you eat. All while admitting they didn't see the video...

  • 08:45 Just tilt your head to the side where there is water inside the ear and open your mouth for a few seconds. Usually that works.

  • some males think that manhood is spreading their seeds, not acting like gentlemen.

  • Looking pretty is not sexist. Nothing wrong with telling someone to strive to dress nice. Men are visual for you science nuts out there. You know its true.

  • A head mirror is mostly used for examination of the ear, nose & throat. It comprises a circular concave mirror, with a small hole in the middle, and is attached to a head band. The mirror is worn over the physician's eye of choice, with the concave mirror surface facing outwards and the hole directly over the physician's eye, providing illumination like a ring light.

  • Question for Dr. Mike as a Family Doctor: my primary care doctor often fat shames me, especially over the past two years. Within those two years I had a thyroid problem (causing me to gain 40 pounds in 9 months), spine surgery that caused me to gain another 15 and COVID weight another 10. I jumped from 140 @ 5’4 to 205 and I’m really trying to lose weight through diet and allowed exercise (I had complications w/ spine surgery). But no matter what my visit is for, (even if it’s a Pap smear) she is constantly saying how large I’ve gotten and how unfortunate it is that I can’t seem to lose the weight (without any helpful suggestions). Long winded question but what are your thoughts on primary care physicians constantly fat shaming a patient who is actively trying to lose weight?

  • This is amazing. Loved every second of it. Thanks for this. ❤️

  • 06:34 And there it is.

  • “You gave me stickers and a weird pillow so you must be nice” - Mike 2020

  • Dear dr Mike, I hear what you're saying and I agree that those reddit comments are properly mental. I appreciate you are coming from the place of care and I love, love, love your "treat the patient, not the disease" approach. Having said that, please be aware that fat shaming actually does take place in your line of work. Examples from my own life: at BMI of 21 and being told by a doctor that I'm "chubby for my age" (I was a teen) and that ultrasound of my abdomen (required as yersiniosis flared up) will not give accurate results due to my weight. Being refused even as much as a diagnosis for what later turned out to be a lactose intolerance because I'm overweight and I should lose weight before anyone bothers to look at me. When coming to a GP and asking for a letter to see a dietician because one of her colleagues told me I should lose weight, hearing "what are you on about, just exercise more." For years and years being told to lose weight without a single in-depth test or recommendation for weight loss programme or diet changes. THIS is what I'd consider fatphobic coming from a doctor. I hope that shed some light on the comments about 'fatphobic stance in medicine.' Sadly, it does exist. There are many good doctors like yourself out there, but there are also quite a few lazy, incompetent b***ards. Just like in any line of work!

  • Actually... Contain nitrogen or some same chemical of chain doesn't mean that's same... If all like that's some acrificial or synthetic close than poison than drugs or sugar
